On Sunday, January 9th 2022, Brian Rintoul of Wingham passed away at Stratford General Hospital at the age of 72.
Devoted partner of Trudy Thomson. Cherished step-father of Carol & John Witney, Angie & Bill Horst, Butch Foran & Lorene Schmidtke and Joy MacDonald & Rob Pollock. Loving grandpa of Jonathan & Ashley, Curtis, Shane, Ryan, Jenna, Justin, Jocelyn, Logan and Wade great-grandpa of Kai and Mya. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gayle & Brad Speiran, Barb Rintoul, Lila Rintoul, John & Clara Thomson, Bruce & Maureen Thomson, Bill & Jan Thomson, and Sandra Thomson. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Gordon & Doreen (Purdon) Rintoul, brothers Gary and Lee Rintoul, brother-in-law Rae Thomson, sister-in-law Pat Thomson, nephew Kevin Rintoul and niece Debbie Smuck.
Visitation will take place at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Thursday, January 13th, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-9:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend must RSVP through our website using the link at the top of the obituary. Masks must be worn at all times and proof of vaccination will be required prior to entry. A private funeral service will take place on Friday, January 14th, 2022 in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. A live-stream of the funeral will be available, please click here . A Celebration of Brian’s life will be held a later date when it is safe to do so. Interment will take place in the spring at Wingham Cemetery.
