Obituary
It is with broken hearts and loving memories that we announce the death of a treasured and much loved husband, father, poppy, brother, uncle and brother-in law. Brian passed away peacefully on June 18th at his home with family by his side and is now resting safely in the arms of Jesus.
Brian Keith Hendrix was born on May 29th 1947, in Watson, Saskatchewan, the first son to Keith and Edna Hendrix. Brian moved as a young boy with his family from Saskatchewan to Alberta where he attended school and later worked in the Drayton Valley oilfield, hauling heavy equipment.
Cherishing Brian’s life and the moments that are now memories are the love of his life and wife of 52 years, Valerie (nee Schultz), son Russell (Pamela), daughter, Lyla Moger (Richard), two treasured grandsons, Nathan and Nicholas Moger, brother Bruce and buddy Barry.
Brian was always there for his family and friends. His gentle, giving and caring spirit will be missed, but never forgotten.
Brian was predeceased by his parents, Keith and Edna, brother, Kirk, father and mother-in-law, Don and Louise Schultz.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 25th 2022, at 1:00 pm, at the Drayton Valley Church of God with Pastor Shawn Terry officiating.
Memorial donations in Brian’s memory may be made to the Drayton Valley Health Services Foundation, (Palliative Care Suite Renovation Campaign) 4550 Madsen Ave., Drayton Valley, AB T7A 1N8.
