Obituary
Brian C. Bullock of Calgary, Alberta passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2022.
Born in 1937, Brian was able to overcome a difficult childhood and put himself through Medical School, at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. As the conflict in Vietnam approached, Brian felt the need to help, serving two tours in Cambodia with Care-Medico. Returning to Canada, Brian became a journalist. It was at his job at the CBC, in Calgary, that Brian would meet the great love of his life; Brian and Judith were married in an intimate ceremony in the late summer of 1980. Brian would go on to do many incredible things, including authoring two books, becoming an accomplished artist, after retiring from the AB Provincial Government in the early 1990s.
Despite his numerous accomplishments, and public recognition, Brian would say, often, that his greatest achievements were his two children, Victoria and Daniel. Brian maintained his passion for literature, music, the arts, the environment, and public service throughout his life.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Judith, and his two children, Victoria, and Daniel. Always quick with a joke, an encouraging word, or a smile, Brian will be incredibly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to make his acquaintance.
The Bullock family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of the Mayfair Care Centre for their care and kindness in the final months of Brian’s incredible life.
Brian’s family will celebrate his life in a private ceremony.
