Brennan Matthew Watts
February 12, 2000 – July 17, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden loss of our son, brother, grandson and friend, Brennan Matthew Watts, age 22, on Sunday July 17, 2022. His quirky personality and sharp wit always kept everyone on their toes. Too clever for his own good sometimes, he was always ready to make you laugh, and often baffled you by what would come out of his mouth. A creative mind and spirit, with a love of animals, art and music. He’s shared years of drawing, writing and photography with many people. His love for his cat, Dash, often showed his true heart.
Brennan grew up surrounded by love, laughter and a lot of BBQ. Taking a keen interest in cooking and appreciating a properly cooked steak, although that definition was often debated. He leaves behind many wonderful memories that have touched everyone who knew him. Some favourite ones include camping trips in the summer, days at the beach, and escapes from the cold weather in Cuba.
His life did not come without many struggles, ultimately losing his long and courageous battle with mental health. Through it all, his compassion and care for others always shone through. Always a hug for his sister, a kind word for his brothers, and an “I love you” for his mother, even when he felt his worst.
Brennan is survived by his parents, Matthew and Amanda (Blunden) Watts; his step-mother, Cristen Duggan; sister, Abby Watts; brothers, Caleb Ingram, Josh Ingram, Logan Haughn, and Nick Haughn. His grandparents, Richard and Marilyn Blunden; grandfather, Harold Watts; grandmother, Sharon Ingram. Many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and great-grandparents.
Brennan was pre-deceased by his father, Joel Ingram; his grandmother, Cheryl Watts; his grand father, Sid Ingram; and his great grandfather, Sydney Cochrane.
Arrangements have been entrusted to T.K. Barnard Funeral Home. Online Condolences: tkbarnardfuneralhome.ca. A service in honour of Brennan will be held at Bedford Baptist Church on Thursday July 28, 2022 at 2:00pm. Lic. Kathy Cochrane officiating. Reception to follow at the Bedford Legion. The hall requires full vaccination for entry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nova Scotia SPCA.
