Brandi Dawn (Hoover) Tavender
1973-2022
Brandi Dawn Tavender passed away at the Moncton Hospital,on
February 22, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer at the young
age of 48.
Brandi was born in Germany, on
February 23, 1973, with her family, during her father’s
military deployment. The family returned to Moncton, NB, Canada, in
1974, where she grew up alongside her five siblings and developed her
free and adventurous spirit.
Brandi was
predeceased by her son Alex, and survived by her two children, Milo
“Kaitlyn” and Cole Tavender (Jay), from her previous
marriage to Aron, her parents, Don and Sharon Hoover, older brother
Don J. Hoover (Brenda), and four sisters: Kimberly Doucette, Rebecca
Hoover, Cassandra St. Louis(Andrew), and Amy Hoover (Jennie), as well
as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and her extended family.
After raising her children, Brandi lived in
Australia. She fell in love with the beaches and all the beautiful
scenery Australia has to offer, and it became her favourite place to
be. Brandi enjoyed several years with Nathan Alberts and many new
friends, as she prepared for a new chapter in her life, pursuing a
professional career in hospitality management.
Despite having to return to Canada for treatment, Brandi still
stayed strong to the end, facing life’s challenges head on
with a bright smile and a smart quip that endeared her to many. She
will be greatly missed and forever loved by everyone that knew
her.
The family wishes to express their
appreciation to Dr. Park, the doctors and nurses of the Moncton
Hospital; in particular, the palliative care team for their kindness
and exceptional care. We are forever grateful to all of
you.
As per Brandi’s wishes, there
will be no funeral service. A celebration of life for the
family will be arranged at a later time.
For those
who wish donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or charity
of the donor’s choice in Brandi’s memory would be
appreciated.
