Brahm L. Campbell
On Thursday, May 5, 2022 after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of multiple myeloma. Brahm was born on December 22, 1937, in Montreal, son of the late Abraham Campbell and the late Rachel Chisling (Kimmerfield). Beloved husband of Joanna Rojewski. Proud father of Jennifer Campbell. Wonderful stepfather of Sylvie (Spencer), Catherine (Mark). Loving Brahmpapa to Casimir, Calder, Victor, Margaritte, Jackson, and Charlotte. Dear brother and brother-in-law of David (yvy), the late Barbara and the late Ephraim Edelberg. He will be missed ferociously by all his family and friends. We are very grateful for all the time we shared on this earth, all the lessons and love that will live on forever.
Brahm graduated from McGill University with a law degree. As a prominent Montreal lawyer, he practiced with the law firm Campbell Cohen. He loved his profession and with sixty years of experience loved mentoring young lawyers. Being a lawyer was a huge part of his identity. His most memorable case was Farber v. Royal Trust Co., which went to the Supreme Court of Canada in 1997, where for the first time it established a new law which protected workers from constructive dismissal. Brahm’s wit and wisdom were admired by all who knew him. He was fun, dynamic, loved a good party and a stimulating discussion about World War II and the state of world affairs.
Special thanks to the doctors and staff of the McGill University Hospital Centre (Royal Victoria Hospital) for their exceptional care and to the CLSC Metro Home Care Team. Graveside service on Monday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the Adath Jeshurun Congregation Section, Back River Memorial Gardens, Berri. If you wish to follow, the procession will be leaving Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., at 9:00 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the
McGill University Health Centre Foundation, (514) 843-1543.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Brahm L Campbell 2022..
