Bonita (Bonnie) Horsman, 80, of
Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday,
February 20, 2022. Born in Cape Tormentine, NB, she was the daughter
of the late Claude D. and Wynnifred (Way)
Taylor.
Fifty-eight years ago, she married
Jim, the love of her life. Then in 1969, Bonnie dedicated
her life to her god, Jehovah, and continued to serve faithfully for
many years with the Riverview Congregation of
Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was also a much-loved
member of the Rothesay Congregation while she lived in
Quispamsis. She loved to be out in the ministry with her
friends and up until the pandemic could be found with Jim and others
in their van, sharing laughs with their friends and their faith with
their neighbours.
Bonnie was always ready for a
game. She would never let you win (even her grandchildren!)
but the challenge was always more fun than the
win!
She taught herself to sew and made
countless clothes for her girls. Everything from matching
outfits when they were little, to quilts, dresses and winter coats for
her grandchildren.
And she was always eager to
travel… “Give me 15 minutes and I’ll be
ready”
But probably her friends remember her
best for all of her generous entertaining. Whether she was
planning a large dinner party, having 25 houseguests or just feeding
friends that stopped by, everyone was always
welcome.
She will be missed by her husband,
James “Jim” Horsman; daughters, Liane Steeves, Penny Jones,
Jocelyn Kean and Melissa Duvall and their spouses; grandchildren,
Caitlin and Vanessa Steeves, Hilary and Hayley Kean, Olivia and Reilly
Duvall; great grandson, Cjay Harding; brother, Tait Taylor (Donna); as
well as several nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
She was predeceased by her sister,
Susan Blakney; and beloved granddaughter, Rachel
Steeves.
A virtual Funeral Service will be held
on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 4:00 pm from The Kingdom Hall of
