Obituary of Bob Hori
Robert (Bob) Eizo Hori, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2022 at the age of 100 years. He was predeceased by parents, Jenya and Harue; siblings, Yoshi (George) Matsuoka, Tom (Hannah, Pat) Hori, Dorothy (John) Uchikata, Peter (Aiko) Hori, Mary Hori and Frank Hori; wife Norah and many loving, furry companions. Bob is survived by wife Sue; sister Chris (Harvey deceased) Jim; children Vincent, Norine (Russ Peardon), Robert (Ari); grandchildren Drew Peardon and Cole Peardon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was born in Vancouver, BC and grew up on Powell Street. After brief stops in Slocan, BC and Calgary AB he settled into Regina on Angus Crescent. Bob was a partner in the western Canadian chain of ladies wear and yard goods stores, Silk-O-Lina/Karin Tina. In post-retirement, he found a second career as a courier (with a few other duties) at Robertson Stromberg LLP. Bob was always working and ready to help whether it was delivering Meals-On-Wheels, treasurer of an organization or shovelling the neighbours’ sidewalks. He leaves a trail of kindness and generosity in his wake.
Many thanks to the staff of Autumn Personal Care Home for their patient and loving care. A service will take place at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Inurnment at Riverside Memorial Park following the reception. Dress casual. Flowers and koden gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Regina Humane Society, 79 Armour Road, RM of Sherwood, SK S4K 0A8.
