Bobby James Funk May 17 1976 January 17 2022 avis de deces

It is with profound sadness the family of Bobby James Funk announce his passing on January 17, 2022 at the age of 45.
With deep sorrow and much love we mourn the journey’s end of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend.
Bobby was predeceased by his grandparents,
David Funk, Gertrude Dyck,
Alexander Harper and Rose Leslie
He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Jim Funk (Peggy) Pamela Williams.
His siblings, Jimmy ( Tracey) Michelle ( Dave) Lisa( Sonny) Chris( Cher) 11 nieces and nephews as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Bobby was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on May 17 th,1976 where he lived until he moved to Bonnyville Alberta at the age of 11-12. You could always find him with his older brother Chris. Where one was the other wasn’t far behind.
He finished out his education in Bonnyville up until he moved to Edmonton to venture out on his own.
He worked many various jobs throughout his life. Oil field, restaurants, farming, whatever he felt like doing, he did it.
He was a fearless traveler, full of excitement and looking forward to his next adventure.
He met people all along the way in any direction the road took him.
Once you met him, you could never forget him. He was funny, Whitty, worldly and very intelligent. Never a lack of conversation with him. He always had something to say and would brighten your day.
Bobby would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need, although he may have been in need himself, he would give away his last dollar because he was very resourceful and knew he’d find a way, he always did.
Bob was a man of many passions. He loved to cook, he’d create weird fun meals and they always turned out fabulous. He loved art and was very artistic. Music was right up there also. If he wasn’t playing or listening to music, then surely you’d find him humming. Movie nights with friends and family was one of his great past times. Especially when he got together with his nieces or nephews.
He loved being an uncle to not only his nieces and nephews, friends children as well. As quoted by one of his friends. “everyone needs an uncle Bob in their family” all the kids loved and enjoyed his adventurous, playful unapologetic self.
He had a deep love for his family. He loved being a son and brother. Attention is the rarest and most generous form of generosity. When he was with you he gave all of his attention, for the opportunity to collect all the memories and moments you could while being together.
The questions not how we die.. The question should be how we lived. Bobby’s moto. You were so very special and earth’s loss is heavens gain.
To say you will be greatly missed would be a huge understatement. In honor of Bobby please take a moment, ” dream a Little dream of me” by the mamas and the papas as requested by Bob. And always remember, ” I love you more than my luggage” His favorite quote from his favorite movie, steel Magnolias.
The family wishes to send a special thank you, to all who unconditionally loved him for his authentic, loving, generous kind soul.
Until we meet again, Rest in peace Bobby xxoo
