1940 – 2022
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Bill Alexander. He was born in Grandview, MB and he worked as a logger for most of his life. He was predeceased by his parents George and Annie Alexander, his brother Fred, sister Elsie (John) and common-law spouse Caroline. Bill is survived by his sister Dorothy, son William, grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
Bill loved working in the forest and was a strong advocate against clear cutting. Bill also understood what it was like to be down on your luck and he had an understanding of what people who are homeless go through. He always tried to help people where and when he could. The family would like to thank the three brave people who went into the Vernon Creek and pulled Bill out. They tried to revive him but were unable to do so. We thank all of the people who were in the park that night that also tried to revive Bill. We also wish to thank the RCMP and the Fire Department who tried to resuscitate Bill.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Bill Alexander July 29th 2022..
