Death notice for the town of: Leamington, Province: Ontario
Dear family,
We are so sorry for your loss.
Aunt Betty and my mom Lois ,were close childhood friends. Close friends that married brothers and lived side by side with their “ in laws”! sharing their lives together with a family that grew and grew.
What a life they must have had. ❤️ Learning the ways of being a wife, a new daughter, working the land and then, becoming mothers themselves. Hard work, good times and love of family. They had it all.
Aunt Betty was one of the driving forces that made all of our Wiper functions and reunions so much fun and memorable.I can’t forget to mention, I secretly scouted out her delicious butter tarts and cole slaw.
She was one of my pretty aunts who always looked so nice at ever occasion.
I remember her smiling sadly at me during both of my parents funerals. Her smile made me feel better because I knew she was sharing my pain.I will miss aunt Betty’s compassion.
Aunt Betty, my mom and all of my aunts were the “party line” that kept everyone informed of what was happening in our family’s circle, over a cup.. or two of their favourite brew. 😊
We have lost so many family members over the years and It hurts to write this because they have given me some of the best years of my life.
Good bless you aunt Betty and I pray you will be with these wonderful people now.
Much love Linda.❤️
