LUCKHART, Betty Ruth
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and comfort on Monday, April 18, 2022, at her residence, Hillside Manor, Stratford. Betty was born 89 years ago in Guelph, Ontario and was a long-time resident of Wilmot Township.
Cherished and devoted mother of Diane Luckhart, Jim Luckhart, Bob Luckhart and wife Gail, Paul Luckhart and wife Pat, and Pat Smith and husband Wayne. Loving grandmother of Sam Luckhart (Ara), Chris Luckhart (Colin), Emma Luckhart, Emily Smith, and Katherine Smith. Proud great-grandmother of Hazel and Frederick Luckhart. Betty will be remembered by her brother-in-law Murray Luckhart (Marie) and sister-in-law Charlotte Brodrecht and by her nieces and nephews.
Betty is reunited with her beloved husband Raymond Luckhart who predeceased her in 2014 and whom she cherished 61 years of marriage with. Predeceased by her father and mother Ben and Ruth (Johnson) Turner, and by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Betty was employed for many years as a secretary for the Ontario Pork Producers and cherished her employment with them. She had a love for travelling to Florida and to the trailer in Sauble Beach where many summers were spent with family and friends. Betty enjoyed socializing, watching, and tagging along while Raymond would play a game of lawn bowling and gathering with her many friends. She will be missed by many.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, for a celebration of Bettys life at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022. A reception in the waterwheel room will follow.
