Obituary
Betty was born on December 27, 1951 in Vancouver, B.C. to Martha and Max Brandl and passed away July 16, 2022 at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Center at the age of 70 years.
Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dave; daughter Tracy (Jim) DeVries of Rimbey, Alberta, granddaughter Jacee (Colin) DeVries of Ponoka, Alberta, granddaughter Jenna (Nicholas) Bergsma of Blue Ridge, Alberta and great-grandson Myles Bergsma; son Steven (Carna) Phalempin of Ponoka, Alberta, granddaughter Savanna Phalempin of Ponoka, Alberta, great-granddaughter Willow Schmipf and grandson Zayden Phalempin of Ponoka, Alberta; sister Ethel Baumgarten of Red Deer, Alberta; brother Albert (Barb) Brandl of Winfield, Alberta; and brother Wilber Brandl of Rimbey, Alberta; along with many nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her parents Max and Martha Brandl; her parents in-law Steve Phalempin and Moneta Phalempin; as well as her sister Ingrid Wilford; brother in-law Lloyd Baumgarten; and nieces Theresa Grandy and Pam Voysey.
A private family service will be held.
Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation – Dialysis Unit.
