MALDOFF, Betty (nee Yossem)
Peacefully in Montreal, on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the age of ninety-eight. Devoted wife of the late Charles for sixty-three years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Eric Maldoff and Andrea Wolff, Gerry and Susan Maldoff, Barbara Maldoff and the late Harry Hopmeyer and the late Charles Kotler. Cherished grandmother of Daniel Maldoff and Andre Lalonde, Gabriel Maldoff and Kat O’Konski, and Hannah Maldoff; David and Ali Maldoff, Matthew and Elyssa Maldoff, Stephanie and Josh Bank; Jacqueline Hopmeyer and Matt Goldsmith, Joseph Hopmeyer and Lauren Weber, and Michael Hopmeyer. Proud great-grandmother of Chloe and Brie Maldoff; Chase and Brody Maldoff; Winslow and Hayes Bank; Harry and Oliver Goldsmith; and Carter Hopmeyer. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Victor and the late Florence Yossem, the late Edith and the late Arthur Posner, the late Mimi and the late Arnold Feldman; and sister-in-law of the late Bertha (Birdie) and the late John Chaikin, the late Orrin and the late Sheila Maldoff. Betty was a kind and caring person who adored her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and all who knew her. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Wednesday, June 8 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la For. Shiva at her home in Montreal from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily through Friday afternoon, June 10.
