Elizabeth Anne (Cochrane) Purcell of Listowel passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 13, 2022 after a brave battle with liver cancer, in her 61st year.
Loving Wife to Brian Purcell for 36 years. Proud Mother of Josh Purcell of Pickering, Karli & Ryan Mulder of Stoney Creek, and Ethan Purcell of Listowel.
Daughter of June Cochrane of Listowel, and sister of Bob Cochrane, Don & Evon Cochrane, Steve & Jennifer Cochrane, and Brenda & Bill Pearson, all of Ethel, Diane & Gary Hutton of Claresholm, AB, and Doug & Janet Cochrane of Walton.
Sister-in-law to Lorraine Brownell of Listowel, Carol & Edgar Carreira of Geraldton, Janice & Neil Hackbart of Mount Forest, and David & Marilyn Purcell of Listowel. Loving Aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her father Stuart Cochrane, parents-in-law Harry & Vola Purcell, and brother-in-law Allan Purcell.
Beth grew up on a farm in Donegal and lived all her married life on a farm in Wallace Township. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking loving care of her gardens. She was passionate about health & fitness and thoroughly enjoyed many runs down her sideroad.
Beth was also a faithful member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Listowel where she volunteered for many church suppers, Sunday school, and helped to care for the gardens. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday, February 16th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Please schedule a time by clicking RSVP (below), or by calling the funeral home at 519-291-4840.
The funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. The service will be live-streamed and the link available here shortly. You do not have to register to attend the funeral service.
