BERTHA MELANSON-BREAU née LEBLANC
1947-2022
It is with the utmost sadness that we must inform you of the passing of Bertha Melanson-Breau née LeBlanc at the age of 74.
Born on October 13, 1947 in the small village of Beaumont, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Domenic LeBlanc and Lina Boudreau. She is survived by Kenneth Breau, of Memramcook, her friend, her true soulmate for over 30 years & whom she married in October of last year; her brothers : Donald (Freda), Gaston, Albert (Maria); her sisters : Diana & Rosa; a niece, Lilianne LeBlanc and a grand nephew, Jessie. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her former husband, Andrew (Andy) Melanson, her brothers Armand and Norbert (Irene).
Bertha’s life was one of caring – for families and friends. She showed an extreme kindness towards all living creatures, especially her “feline friends” (inside & outside) whom she rescued, fed, spayed/neutered, cuddled and kept warm during the cold winter months.
She enjoyed the outdoors and being able to admire her flowers especially her rose garden; she enjoyed watching TV and food, in particular a fondness for ice cream. Bertha was a quiet person but very intelligent and prided herself in being productive, always giving 100% to every task that came her way. She will me surely missed by all who had the pleasure of having known her.
As per her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations can be made in her honour to your local chapter of CARMA – Cat Rescue Maritimes
