It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bertha Marian Keating announce her passing on Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, at James Paton Memorial Hospital at the age of 67.
She leaves to mourn her extraordinarily dedicated husband of 47 years, Mike; children Lorne (Arlene), Brent (Lindsay), Leann (Josh); grandchildren Brent, Samara, Jaxson, Sophia, Natalie and Myla.
She also leaves behind her siblings Eugene (Michelle), Jimmy (Lynn) and Joanne, along with a large circle of precious family and friends. Predeceased by her loving parents Aloysius and Olive Alexander and her brother Aloysius Jr Alexander.
Bertha was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Always selfless and caring for others. She felt a great contentment with extending her generosity to friends, and strangers alike.
She spent many years involved with prayer groups across the island, and served on the provincial executive of the Newfoundland Catholic Renewal. To know Bertha was to know her kind and sweet soul. She always put her loved ones first, and would lighten the room with her joyous and silly ways.
The day had come for God to call her by name; he reached out His hand and she reached back and they walked away, hand in hand, to Eternal Life forever.
