Bernice Doyle
August 12, 1936 – October 8, 2022
Passed peacefully away at home on October 8, 2022, Bernice Doyle, with her family by her side at age 86. Predeceased by her husband Robert (2019); daughters: Susie (1970) and Cynthia (1994); parents, Roche and Stella Bowe; sisters: Laura Gurnsey, Clara Benson, Rita Carlson and Marcie Locke; brothers: Roger, John, Kevin (Darlene), Billy and Dave and her best friend, Bessie Kirk.
Leaving to mourn, daughter Debbie Weir (Keith); sons: Gerard and Jason (Tammy); and her two precious granddaughters: Abby and Sophia; brother, Bob Bowe (Diane); sisters: Florence McLeod and Jane Stanley; and many nieces and nephews; and special friends: Mercedes Critch and Irene Chafe.
Special thanks to her amazing homecare worker Jo Squires, Kelly Ralph, Community Nurse, home dementia team, Dr. Cheryl Hurley, Dr. Tina Squires, Pat Williams of Pharmachoice who went above and beyond.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road, St. John’s, on Wednesday, October 12, from 12noon-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held from St. Kevin’s Church, Goulds, on Thursday, October 13, at 10:00am, with inurnment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Petty Harbour. Reception to follow at Petty Harbour Rec Centre.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation NL Chapter, or a charity of one’s choice.
