Bernice Anne MacNair October 11th 2022

Bernice Anne MacNair passed away on October 11, at the age of 88 in Salmon Arm, B.C.
Bernice was born in Brandon, Manitoba to Angus and Lucy Munroe on December 1, 1933. She grew up in a loving home with two doting older brothers. She loved animals and won ribbons riding ponies in the Brandon Fair. She completed secretarial school and worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance company. She was a youth leader in the Presbyterian church, where she met Craig MacNair at a leadership retreat. They were married in 1957, and farmed in Chilliwack, B.C., before moving to a dairy farm on the Enderby-Grindrod road in 1963. Bernice was active in Toastmasters, the Enderby food bank and the North Enderby Ladies Club. She taught Sunday school and led Pioneer Girls clubs at the Enderby Chapel. Many people benefited from her garden’s produce, her home-cooked meals and generous hospitality.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Leslie and David, and Craig, her husband of 56 years. She will be sorely missed by her daughter, Marian (Scott) of Montreal; son: Ken (Kara) of Enderby; and five grandchildren: Lydia, Hannah, Billy, Maeve and Ian. We would like to thank the staff at Andover Terrace, Dr Aitchison and the staff at Shuswap Lake General Hospital for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local food bank.
A memorial will be held on Oct 22nd at the Enderby Chapel at 2pm.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Bernice Anne MacNair October 11th 2022..
