Bernard Quinn
New Waterford
It with deep sadness that, we the family of Bernard Quinn, announce his passing on January 15, 2022, at home. Born in New Waterford, on July 2, 1951, he was the son of the late Melvin and Catherine (Jessome) Quinn.
Bernie worked in the construction industry before coming a full-time baker. He thoroughly enjoyed baking and held this position for many years at Sobeys in Sydney River. He loved motorcycles and spending time at Tim Horton’s with his many friends.
Bernie is survived by his sister Dolores (Billy) Gouthro, Lower Sackville; his brothers Edward (Sandra), New Waterford, Kevin (Minnie), Edmonton, brother-in-law Andrew Geddes, BC., as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Ann (Dave) Armsworthy, his brother John, and most recently his sister Mary Geddes, BC.
Cremation has taken place. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 11am with Father Peter McLeod officiating, followed by interment in St. Agnes Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
