“The lake is my happy place”
The family of the late Bernard Allen (Al) Brown is sad to announce his passing on January 19, 2022.
Al was born March 20, 1954. Predeceased by parents Charles (2000) and Marilyn (2020) Brown, and niece Danielle Miller (2012).
Al is survived by his wife Shelley (nee LaCourse), daughters Dana Brown and Natalie (Brandon) Yohnicki, brother Jim (Marianne) Brown, sister Rose (Keith) Powell, his brothers and sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews, and many friends, including life-long friend Tom Core.
Al started his career as a motorcycle mechanic then moved to Polysar where he was a process operator before retiring. He spent his spare time planning the next renovation or invention, touring in his “Al” Camino and enjoying time on the water.
He will be remembered for his sense of humour, willingness to help others, his talent for woodworking, and love of good food!
In memory of Al, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton, or the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton-Kent.
Cremation has taken place; a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Al, we know your boat was calling for your final journey and you had to go…happy sailing captain!
