Beatrice Isabel
Andrew – 74, Bible
Hill. It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing
of our dear mother, Beatrice Isabel Andrew, on Thursday evening, March
17, 2022, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in
Truro, she was the daughter of the late Gardner and Evelyn (Carter)
Roode.
Beatrice will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her two
daughters, Karen Carrier of Moncton, New Brunswick, and Sharon
(Ronnie) Rushton of Oromocto, New Brunswick; grandson, Benjamin
“Ben” Rushton; brothers, George Roode and Darrell (Sharon)
Roode; sister, Marilyn (Graham Elliott); many nieces, nephews, cousins
and extended family that are all important but too many to
list.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by Clarence James
Andrew, her loving husband of 46 years.
Beatrice was a witty and loving woman who had a zest for life
and touched the lives of many, leaving behind fond memories. She
cherished the roles of wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy
was her grandson whom she loved to spoil; he fondly referred to her as
“Mammie”. She also loved her feline friends and will be
missed by her baby, Hunter and granddaughter, Casper.
At the family’s request, to honour
Beatrice’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private
graveside burial will be held at Crossroads Cemetery in Valley, Nova
Scotia at a later date. If so desired, donations in
Beatrice’s memory may be made to the Colchester SPCA or a
charity of your choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of
condolence may be sent to the family by viewing Beatrice’s
obituary on-line and selecting “Send A Condolence”
