Battle, George Robert (July 15, 1945 ~ February 23, 2022). George passed away peacefully in his sleep at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital.
Survived by his wife of 56 years Janice (nee Sammon), children Rob and Cindy, John and Lori, and Georgie. He adored his three wonderful granddaughters Brooke, Jenna and Rylee who could brighten his day with their smiles and hugs.
George was predeceased by his parents Walter and June Battle (George Georgian) and in-laws Wallace and Estella Sammon (Dolan) (Jackson), brothers William and Donald, brother-in-law Reg Squires and great niece Sydney Battle. George will be missed by his siblings Dwight (Pat), Judy Squires (Dan Cooper), John (MaryLynne), Jane, Tom (Sheila), Pegge Birdsell (John), Elaine Battle, Linda Battle (Mike Fletcher).
He will be equally missed by his sibling-in-laws Sharon Boan (Robert), Rick Sammon (Judy), Bonnie Summerfield (Jim), Terry Sammon (Sharon). George will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and their families. George will be remembered by his lifelong friends Bruce Kauth, Lorne Brooks as well as his Garage Buddies.

George couldn’t say enough good things about you, you are all special! In keeping with George’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date.
