John “Barry” MacSween 1949-2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John “Barry” MacSween, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine.
Barry was born in Kincardine February 13, 1949 to Kenneth MacSween and Cathleen Barry. He leaves behind his wife Bev, her children Carrie and Lloyd Williams, Jeremy and Heather Betzner and their families.
He will be missed by his siblings, Maria and Casey Kalvaitis, Bill and Bev MacSween, Margie and Duncan McGill, Pat and Greg McLean and their families.
Barry worked in the aviation industry for all his life – first as a mechanic, then as a commercial pilot for Tim Horton’s, and finally as the Operational Manager of the John C. Munroe International Airport. Upon his retirement Barry moved back to his hometown Kincardine.
We would like to thank the staff at Rosewood R-Villa Senior Living and Doctors Thomson and Murray for their care these last few years.
Cremation has occurred and a celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Royal Canadian Legion – McDonald Branch 183, Kincardine from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Barry will be buried in the Kincardine Cemetery along side of his parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barry’s memory to the Canadian War Plane Heritage Museum or the Poppy Fund at the Royal Canadian Legion – McDonald Branch 183, Kincardine.
