Barry John McGann
March 3, 1950 – September 10, 2022
It is with profound sadness that the family of Barry John McGann announce his unexpected passing on Saturday, September 10th at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Barry will be deeply missed and always lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years June McGann (Nichols) and his beloved children Penny (Jeff) Handley, Sonya McGann and Lee-Anne McGann (Kevin). His pride and joy were his grandchildren who will miss their Poppy deeply, Justin, Alexis, Courtney and Xavier. Barry was also deeply loved and will be missed by Pam (Jeff) Whalen, Jody (Jeremy), Cody, Joshua (Victoria), Jaxun and Lily. Barry will also be missed and remembered by his surviving brother, sisters, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and his many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr. Bothwell and his team for providing my husband/ our father/ Poppy years of exceptional care, always going above and beyond. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Cremation has taken place through Lakeland Funeral & Cremation Centre. Following Barry’s wishes, our family will remember and celebrate his life quietly.
God called your name so softly, that only you could hear. And no one heard the footsteps of angels drawing near. The golden gates stood open, God saw you needed rest. His garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best.
