“And all the while I am being carried across the sky by beautiful clouds”
Ojibwa Poem
63, an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home, on Nov 8th, 2022.
Bud is survived by his wife, Tish, sons Harley and Barry (Cayla), granddaughters, Arianna and Danica, mother, Joan, and sister, Mardi.
He was preceded in death by his father, Red, and brother, Clint.
Venturing up North as a young man, he cast his fortunes with Northwestel, spending 35 years in a variety of positions, before taking a turn as Business Manager for the local union office.
A long-time resident of the Yukon, he was well respected and an active community volunteer for many years.
He took great pride in coaching women’s softball; training as a stuntman in Australia; locating lost treasure in scrap yards; and travelling down desert highways on his Goldwing with his beloved wife, Tish.
A self-professed Renaissance man, he could MacGyver a solution to practically any situation, and evolved into a DIY expert that could help design and build a house; entertain family and friends with his signature dish of eggs benedict ;or opine on any subject that was top of mind.
All animals on the planet approved of him without reservation but most especially, his 2 dogs, Jessie and Murphy. And a good number of humans approved of him, too, as the outpouring of love from so many can attest. It is always hard to lose someone close, but especially the souls who leave you better than they found you.
Rest in Peace, Bud. You left us better, and will be greatly missed.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Barry Bud Alan McCue July 1 1959 November 8 2022..
