SMITH, Barbara Younice (nee Zinck)
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 9, 2022 at Muskoka Landing Long Term Care in Huntsville in her 88th year. Barbara was born on April 12, 1934 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia to parents Stewart and Alexis Zinck. She is the beloved wife of Robert Smith of 64 years. Cherished mother of Charles and Peter Smith. Proud grandmother of Justin Smith.
Barbara was a devoted wife and mother and it can be said that she worked part time so that her children could have braces for their teeth. When not tending to her family, Barbara would volunteer in the community. She loved the outdoors, canoeing, cottage life, knitting, crafting and of course her church.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Trinity United Church in Huntsville from 10-11 a.m. The funeral will take place at Trinity United Church at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.
