Barbara Sue (Caithness) Coates, of Vanessa, Ontario passed away very suddenly at home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 just three days prior to her 74th birthday.
Barb was a one-of-a-kind personality, a second mother to many, a talented accountant and a loyal friend. Cooking, crafting and gaming were some of her many hobbies. When she wasn’t at home working with numbers, you could often find her on Long Point with her best friend Deb, enjoying the cottage deck, reading a book in the sunshine.
Loving wife of Trevor for 53 years. Devoted mother of Deedra English (Aaron), Chantel Coates (Jason) and Sean Slusachuk (Barbara). Cherished Nanny to Darian, Nathaniel, Toby, Alex and Nick.
Dearest sister of Judith Boulay (Roger) and Donald Caithness (Valerie). Always remembered by her son-in-law Timothy Willson.
Barbara was predeceased by her father Don Caithness (1992), her mother Charlotte Caithness (2014) as well as her oldest daughter Tiffany Coates (2019). Cremation has already taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Miklat Recovery House as well as Heart and Stroke Foundation in Barbara’s memory will be gratefully appreciated by the family. As per Barbara’s wishes there will be no visitation and no funeral service.
