Barbara Rose Casey
August 24, 1937 – June 6, 2022
Age 84 of Halifax, Nova Scotia passed away June 6, 2022 in the QEII Health Science Centre, New Infirmary site. Born in Montague, P.E.I. she was a daughter of the late Phil and Mae (McKearney) McGuigan.
Barbara was employed for several years at the House of Mei Mei Restaurant and in the Dietary Department of M.S.V. Mother House.

She is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Butler, Halifax; son Ron Casey, Halifax; brother Preston McGuigan, P.E.I.; grandchildren Rebecca and Emma; dogs Holly and Molly. Predeceased by her husband George Casey; brothers Howlie, Reg, Aneas; sisters Gert, Clem, Theresa, Colleen, Lizzie.
Visitation will be 10-11am Thursday June 9th in T.K. Barnard Funeral Chapel, 85 Sackville Cross Road, Lower Sackville. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Halifax at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
