GRANDY, Barbara Louise
Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Friday, March 4th, 2022 in her 69th year after a long battle with kidney disease. Barb Grandy (nee Pomeroy) was the loving wife of Bob, and devoted mother to Matt. Predeceased by her parents Reg and Audrey Pomeroy, and son Jason Grandy. Sister to Bev Kelly (the late David), and aunt to Melissa Cowan (Kevin) and Jennifer Chadwick (Rob). Great-aunt to Michelle and Trista Cowan, and Hannah (Simon), Reghan, and Carter Chadwick. Daughter-in-law of Betty Grandy (the late William), sister-in-law to Bill Grandy (Sharon), aunt to Tarrah (Cam) and Sydney (Jay) and great-aunt to Harmony. Sister-in-law to Michelle (Greg) and aunt to Gibson. Lovingly remembered by many cousins and friends.
Life-long resident of Port Hope, she worked in the banking industry and as a church secretary.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Azzopardi, Peterborough Nephrologists and staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital Dialysis and Rehab Units.
The family will receive friends at the Ross Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 11th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held Saturday, March 12th at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, 33 Pine Street North, Port Hope. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice.
