Barbara Ann Roberts (Currie)
March 30, 1952 – February 1, 2022
In loving memory of Barbara Ann Roberts (Currie) born March 30, 1952, passed away suddenly on February 1, 2022. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Resided on Dustan street in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Daughter of Catherine Currie (Reid) and the late Alfred Currie. Mother to Paul and partner Barb, Jason and wife Melissa, Joseph, and Rose-Anne and an extended mother to Terrance, Blaine and many others. Grandmother to Jessica, Kody, Adrianna, Chloe, and Katelyn. Predeceased by brother Allen. Survived by her Uncle Mark, sisters Janet, Helen, Sharon and her neices, Jennifer and Michelle Jardine, along with many other nieces and nephews and extended family.
Barbara was an employee at Moirs Chocolates in Woodside for many years until she left to raise her family. When her family was old enough, she went to work at WalMart in Penhorn Mall and followed them to Dartmouth Crossing. She was a valued employee for more than 20 years until her retirement in 2020. She was an avid reader, beloved mother, and friend to all who knew her. She had a funny side that made everyone laugh, her sense of humour was infectious. She had a love of rock music and shared that love with her children and grandchildren. She was the “Rock” of the family, the person everyone turned to because of her loving, caring and non-judgmental nature. She was an avid believer in Christ and a faithful member of the congregation of Devine Mercy Parish, St. Clements Church on Gaston Road in Dartmouth. Her absence will be felt by everyone who knew her, but the memories will live on forever.

Visitation: Due to Covid restrictions visitations will be Family only.
Funeral: Due to Covid restrictions the funeral will be Family only. There will be a celebration of life at some point in the future when restrictions allow.
