Obituary
Augustus Wilfred Paul Elms
June 11, 1951 – November 16, 2022
On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the Humber River Hospital, Toronto, Paul passed away peacefully, surrounded by his husband, his brother, and his best friend. He was 71.
Paul is survived by his beloved husband and partner of 23 years, Angelo Micieli, and the members of Angelo’s family who knew and loved Paul. He is also survived by his brother Keith, and sisters Donna and Barbara, his children, Tonya, Mandy and Tim Elms, his grandchildren Owen, Thatcher and Cedar Elms, and Jessica and Wesley Broomer. He also had many close friends, especially Sue Newman, Beverly Giamou, Sabrina Perdikas and Frank and Gemma Travelho.
Paul was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Ivy Elms, sister Sandra and brother Carl.
Paul touched many people’s lives and hearts, and spent his days being kind and generous. His empathy, unique sense of humour, and heart of gold endeared him to everyone who knew him. He was devoted to his loving husband Angelo, who he showered with unconditional love and support. His mother-in-law Melinda Micieli held a precious place in his heart.
Instead of a funeral, a celebration of Paul’s life will be held at a later date. Instead of flowers, donations in Paul’s name may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Humber River Hospital, whose staff on the 6th and 7th floor East ICU went over and above to care for Paul and his family.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Augustus Wilfred Paul Elms June 11 1951 November 16 2022 (age 71)..
