Aubrey Dale Tattrie
July 11, 1963 – August 8, 2022
It is with profound sadness and shock that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend Aubrey Dale Tattrie in Moncton, NB on August 8th, 2022. Born July 11th, 1963 in Tatamagouche, NS, he was the son of Aubrey and Evelyn (McLean) Tattrie, Tatamagouche. He is survived by sisters Darlene (Peter) Duggan, Tatamagouche Dawn (Brian) MacPherson, Tatamagouche, Denise (Mark) Gallant, Freetown, PEI, Kathy (Ronnie) Ives, River John, brothers Dwayne (Tyler) Lower Sackville and Derek (Becky Reid) Brule. Dale is also survived by his chosen daughter Melissa (Brad) Yantzi and their boys Owen, Garrett and Carson, River John. Nephews and nieces, Richard (Sara) Duggan, Ryan (Brittney Murray), Melanie (Andrew Beaton), Darren Aitchison, Tara (Robert) Hiltz, Gail (Dustin) Rushton, Dominique (Chris) Sikkema, Sarah (Tyler Axeworthy) McGrath, Chad (Kate Crosby) McGrath, Samantha Tattrie, Holly Tattrie and Tay Haynes along with numerous step nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Dale was predeceased by his brother Dion ‘Mickey’, his paternal grandparents Otis and Vivian Tattrie, his maternal grandparents Donald and Lena McLean and great nephew Sheldon Hiltz. Dale was never one for school so he began working in the road construction industry at the age of 15 when he followed in his dad’s footsteps and began working for Warren Maritimes in New Glasgow. Dale worked the last number of years with Miller Construction. Being a jokester Dale was always ready with a joke. Known for lending a helping hand and helping others he was always quick to say “Yes” whenever anyone asked him for help. All of his nephews and nieces agree, Dale was their hero. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers donations to the Odd Fellows (Liberty Lodge) or the Freedom Rebekah Lodge, Tatamagouche (P.O. Box 22 Tatamagouche, NS CA B0K 1V0) would be appreciated. A celebration of Dale’s life will take place on August 20 th , 2022 at 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm with a service lead by the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs at 1:30 pm at his home (#87 Loop Trunk 311, Rocklyn Road Tatamagouche). We encourage everyone to wear your humorous t- shirt in honour of Dale and bring any stories you want to share with his family.
