Grills, Arthur William…Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Moira Place, Tweed on Friday, February 4th, 2022 in his 99th year. Arthur Grills, formerly of R.R.#5 Campbellford is the loving husband of the late Leila Grills nee Mitchell for 65 years. Loving father of Murray Grills (Susan), Edna Pearse (late Bob), Brian Grills (Debbie) and Sharon Burfoot (late Ken). Proud grandpa of Paul, Trevor, Jeffrey, David, Michael, Krista, Robert and missed by his many great grandchildren. Art is survived by his siblings Audrey Turner, Isobel & Rayburn Johansen, Laura & Fred Ingram, Cliff & Bev Grills and his sister in law Jean Grills. He is predeceased by his parents James & Hazel Grills, his siblings; Morley & Jean Grills, Ray Grills, Walter & Georgina Grills, Violet Nicholson and his brother in law Phillip Turner. He will be fondly remembered by his niece Carol & Fred Darling and many family members and friends. The family would like to thank Island Park, Campbellford and Moira Place, Tweed for the loving care our father received.
Public visitation will be held at Weaver – Campbellford on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022 from 5:00 – 5:45pm, 6:00 – 6:45pm and 7:00 – 7:45pm. Due to capacity restrictions, a private family funeral service will take place on Thursday. Attendees to visitation will be required to wear a mask, social distance from others outside your household, and RSVP your selected visitation time block at 705-653-1179 or rsvp@weaverfuneralhomes.com during regular business hours. Spring Interment English Line Cemetery. A video recording of the funeral service will be available for future viewing on his website listing at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Art to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
