Obituary of Arnold Edgar Boudreau
BOUDREAU, Arnold Edgar – Age 70, of Port Medway, Queens Co., passed away with his wife by his side on Monday, November 21, 2022 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Abel George and Elizabeth Minnie (Hubbard) Boudreau.
Arnold was a Junior Hockey Goalie winning best Goaltender, for The Pubnico Flyers. Arnold spent his life on the sea as a longliner, speared swordfish and a lobster fisherman. When not on the sea or at the wharf chatting with the fisherman, Arnold could be found enjoying a round of golf, waterfowl and deer hunting with his son and grandson, and spending time with his friends and family.
Surviving are his wife and partner in crime of 49 years, Brenda “Brenna” Marie (Cottreau); father to Franklin (Melissa), Drayton Valley, Alb.; Kandi (Blair) Smiley, Amherstview, Ont.; and Grumpy Gramps and G-Pa to Dominique, Morgan, Douglas, David, Abigail and Camden; brothers, Randolph (Linda), Brantford, Ont.; Ricky (Lenora), Voglers Cove; sister, Glenda (Derek) Boudreau, Arcadia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Franklin and Clinton.
Celebration of Life from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, November 26 at #746 Port Medway Road, as a drop in visitation. No flowers please, donations may be made to the Port Medway Fire Department or charity of choice.
