At the age of 16, Antonio Finelli left his family and home in a tiny Italian village, to begin a new adventure in Canada.
After years of hard work, determination, and an entrepreneurial spirit that wouldn’t quit, he soon began a successful construction company.
Antonio loved his beautiful wife Linda of 40 years, who now waits for him at Heaven’s gate, along with their many canine companions.
There, he also joins his brothers Francesco (infant), Francesco (child), Pompeo, Giuseppe; sisters Lucia, Rosa and parents Fausto & Maria Donata, but his love for his earthly family remains.
Proud father of Sam, Dean, Kathy, and all his grandchildren.
Especially loved by nieces Josie Budaci and Maria Moccia (who helped care for him in later years); Barbara, John, and Jason Howe, as well as Cynthia and Bob Donner, his wife’s family in Michigan.
So many loving family members, friends and neighbours, will miss Antonio’s kind and gentle nature.
Antonio Finelli passed peacefully on January 15th, in Burlington at the age of 85.
The family wishes to acknowledge the dedicated team at Chartwell Brant Centre Long Term Care whose consistent, compassionate care, and attention towards Antonio Finelli, was deeply appreciated.
