Anton Faist
It is with great sadness that our beloved Anton left us on Sunday January 16th, 2022 at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 60 years, Andrée. He was a warm and devoted Father to Maria (Gerhard), Christine (Mike), Michael (Liz) and Peter. Loving Grandfather of Charlotte, Jacqueline, Julius, David, Sean, Olivia, Abner and Kesia.
Anton (Tony) was born in Krumbach, Germany, the son of Richard and Paula, stepson to Clara. He was a caring brother to all his siblings; Ursula (Harald) and Didi and predeceased by Fritz (Mimi), Helmut (Gertrud), and Gretl. He will be remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews.
He came to Canada in 1951 with $20 in his pocket and became a successful Design and Robotic Engineer. His great loves were spending time with his family and friends, and listening to classical music. He also enjoyed construction, gardening, and collecting stamps and pewter.
A Mass will take place at Merciful Redeemer Church located at 2775 Erin Centre Boulevard, Mississauga on Tuesday January 25th, 2022 at 11:00 am.
