In loving memory of Anthony “Tony” Durbacz, 72 years who passed away suddenly on November 23, 2022, at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Carmen Durbacz (née Babin). Loving father of Stosh Durbacz (Suzie) and Lee Durbacz (Yumi Nishio). Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Hayley and Thalia. Dear son of Stanley and Jadwija (Lapinska) Durbacz both predeceased. Dear brother of Anna Trottier (Peter) and Teddy predeceased (Caroline) and brother-in-law of Sue and Gord Hnatiuk, Andy and Mony Babin, Mike Babin predeceased, Carole and Mike Mayer and Tim Babin. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Tony also leaves behind his canine boys Eli and Brindy.
Upon retirement from the Province of Ontario Tony kept his days very busy with travel, his model ship building, golfing and countless trips to southern Ontario to visit with his grandkids, never for a moment missing the busy days at work. In his later years daily visits to see Carm, his regularly scheduled weekly golf outings with lifelong friends and his boys Eli and Brindy filled his days giving him much joy. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man who took great pride in all of his family and friends, always quick to share in their many successes.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Polish Combatants Hall, 291 Albinson St., Sudbury on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 4:30pm-8:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
