Obituary of Ann Marie Robertson
Ann’s family is saddened to announce that she passed away August 30, 2022. She will be greatly missed by her husband Dave, her daughter Kimberly and grandchildren Hailey, Kelsey, and Cooper of Fredericton, and her son Timothy and his wife Tracy and grandchildren Kieran and Kayden of Ottawa.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Mary Duchesneau, and her brothers Robert and David Strachan. She is also survived by several generations of nieces and nephews.
Born on April 30, 1948, in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late William and Annie (Nelson) Strachan. Ann began her life on City Road in Saint John and moved in with her Aunt Ruby Saunders, on Meenan’s Cove Road, after her mother passed. She attended Rothesay High School and then Teacher’s College in Fredericton where she met Dave, her husband of 53 years. She taught elementary school at Glen Falls until the birth of their first child, worked in a local craft store and volunteered in the library at her kid’s school.
Ann enjoyed lifelong relationships with family and friends, was actively involved with her children and grandchildren’s lives and hosted many family gatherings. She enjoyed travel with Dave and trips and adventures with family and friends. In later years she enjoyed swimming, bowling, social bridge, and time with the “one muffin club”. Her kind and generous heart will be missed by everyone she touched.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held from Saint David’s United Church, Rothesay, on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Interment to take place at Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
