Annie Mae MacInnis 1944 2022 avis de deces

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of
Annie Mae (MacRury) MacInnis, 77, on Thursday, January 6 in Halifax
Infirmary surrounded by her loving family.
Annie Mae was born in Soapstone Mines, August 3rd, 1944
to the late Effie Hawley and Roddie MacDonald. She was a hard worker
from an early age, having left home to work at The Village Inn in
Whycocomagh and continue attending school at the age of 12.
She married the love of her life, Peter MacInnis, in 1961
and moved to East Skye Glen to start their family. Annie Mae
took care of everyone. The family home was a place to gather for those
who were away, and Annie Mae welcomed them all and fed them. Together
with Peter, they raised six children of their own and were a saving
grace to many foster children throughout the years. Annie
Mae was a cleaner for various people and businesses in the community
and spent time in the kitchens of Vi’s Restaurant and The
Farmer’s Daughter making lasting friendships at each place.
Annie Mae was in her glory spending time with her 12 grandchildren and
6 great-grandchildren and loved when they all got together, especially
around a campfire or for a cup of tea. Annie Mae was a member of the
Stewart United Church, UCW, and had a strong sense of faith. She was
an amazing baker, best known for her biscuits and shortbread cookies
that could be found at various socials, weddings, card games and
Ceilidhs in Inverness County.
Left
to mourn are daughters; Janice (Merryl) Bustin, Skye Glen, Kelly
(Glen) Gillis, River Denys, sons; Kevin, Ivan (Juanita), Blair, and
Bobby (Liza) all of Skye Glen. Grandchildren Matthew
(Jessica), Falmouth, Coady (Carla), Medicine Hat, Chad, Halifax,

Donald Cecil MacInnis, sister-in-law Margie MacInnis, Anne MacInnis
and many nieces and nephews near and far. She was
predeceased by her husband Peter, grandson Jonathan MacInnis, and
brother Lawrence Hawley.
Cremation has taken
place. Funeral service will be held on Saturday May 21,
2022 at 11 a.m. in Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh with Rev. Rachel
