Obituary
Mrs. Ann Marie Chenger of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. John Chenger, passed away on August 18, 2022, at the age of 98 years.
Ann was born in Czechoslovakia on July 21, 1924 to parents Bill and Julia Vrabel. At the age of 6 Ann and her parents immigrated to Canada from Hungary. Her parents worked on farms and eventually purchased their own farm in the Picture Butte area. Ann helped her parents on the farm and also helped look after her siblings. She moved to Lethbridge and worked in the hospital, and it was during this time that she met her husband, John. She and John married in 1947 and had 3 sons: John, Roy and Eric. Together they farmed in the Park Lake, Nobleford area.
Besides her husband John, Ann is predeceased by her parents Bill and Julia Vrabel; 2 brothers Bill Vrabel and Joe Vrabel; sister Margaret Wensveen and her son Roy Chenger in 2004.
Ann is survived by her brother Andy Vrabel and 2 sons John Chenger (Nell Chenger) & their children (Rochelle and Ryan Chenger); Eric Chenger & his children Candace Blaine, Chance Chenger and Corbin Chenger. She also is survived by her 8 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church, Lethbridge, Alberta, 2405 12 Ave S, Lethbridge, Alberta.
Interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
