Anita Dorion 1932 2022

Obituary of Anita Dorion
(nee Bouchard)
With heavy hearts the family announces that Anita found her wings and joined Dad in heaven on Sunday morning, November 27, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Albert “Bert” (2017). Loved mom of Suzanne Giroux (Dwight) of Arnprior and Elaine Dorion (Serge Renaud) of Alcove, QC. Cherished granny of Amanda Giroux, Ariane Renaud (Jason Burke), Carine Renaud (Sebastien Beausoleil), great granny of Chase and soon to be born Noélie.
Anita grew up in Ottawa, worked for the Government of Canada and later moved to Aylmer to raise her family. A city girl from birth, she defied the odds and moved to a farm in Danford Lake, before moving to Shawville and eventually landing in Braeside with her husband Bert where they ran an organic farm for almost 20 years. Anita spent much of her time volunteering wherever she could, including at Renfrew Home Support and the last 20 years at the Opportunity Shop in Arnprior. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and looked out for her friends and neighbours. Anita had a passion for shopping, loved spending time with her dog Trixie and summers at the Glenalee Trailer Park. She will be truly missed by all those who had the opportunity to know her and call her a friend.
The family would like to thank Dr. MacDonald and Mom’s care workers: Kate and both Amanda’s for their compassionate care.
“Have Wheels, Must Travel.”
Her care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A private family interment will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery in Ottawa. For those wishing to make a donation, please consider a donation to Arnprior Seniors at Home or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Anita
