Angelina Manos
1931-2022
Angelina Manos, age 90, of New Glasgow, passed
away Thursday, May 5, 2022, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and
Katina (Gerulakos) Manos. Angelina was co-owner of the London Fruit
and Candy Store with her brother, Peter, and sisters, Helyn and Mary.
She was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church, New
Glasgow, and attended services with her mother and sisters. Angelina
was a great lover of gardening, especially flowers. She also spent
time away from the business going on long walks to enjoy nature and
its beauty. She enjoyed yoga which she practised for many years. She
enjoyed and loved to her heart’s content summers with her
family and their children at the cottage in Kings Head. She is
survived by a brother, George (Shirley), New Glasgow; nieces and
nephews: Michelle (Bruce) MacDougall; Paul (Lori) Manos; Kara (Chris)
Barrie; Mary Beth (Dave) MacNeil; Dr. Daria Manos (Bijon Das); Dr.
Sarah Manos (Peter MacDonald); godson, Nicos (Jill) Manos; numerous
great-nieces and nephews; many cousins. She was predeceased by
sisters, Helyn and Mary; older brother, Samuel; much beloved brother,
Peter; and brother, Jimmy. We are so grateful to her caregivers who
greatly enhanced her quality of life and resulted in natural love. The
family is tremendously grateful for their caring and kindness.
Visitation 6-8 pm Monday, in R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave.,
New Glasgow. Masks are recommended for those attending. Private burial
