Obituary
It is with broken and heavy hearts, that we announce the death of Andrew Dale McLean, at the age of 56, which occurred at URVH in Waterville. Andy was born in Woodstock, NB on April 8, 1966 to Dale and Vida(Long) McLean of Charleston.
Andy is survived by his sweetheart, Donna, his children Jenna, Jackson (Alyssa), and Kyra, his two stepdaughters Jennifer(Christopher), and Heidi, his two adorable grandchildren Caraline and Russell. He is also survived by his parents Dale and Vida McLean, sister Brenda (Steven) Pugh, and brothers Bob(Corinna) VanDoorselaere, Kevin(Michelle) McLean, Brian(Kathleen) McLean, Jamie(Caroline) McLean, and Jason McLean. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and caregivers that Andy had over the last 3 years. His surgeon Dr. Brian Johnston, oncologist Dr. James Michael, radiologist Dr. Robert Thompson, Hospice doctors Dr. Cameron, Dr. Goodyear, Dr. MacDonald, and ER Dr. Hanif Chateur. For the amazing treatment on 2 east and outpatients at URVH, all of the nurses and LPN’s, especially Josee, Cathy, Lise, and Emily. Also, the loving nurses at Extramural Heather, Maria and Brandon.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Jacksonville, NB from 1 – 4:45pm, with the Celebration of Life at 5pm. Andy’s motto was “Always eat dessert first, then you’ll always have room for it!” So should you like to join us for the Celebration of Life, in honour of Andy, please bring your favorite dessert.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the River Valley Cancer Support Group.
