We are saddened and heartbroken on the passing of our Mom on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Dearest mother of Joseph, Barbara Galijet (Jerry) and John (Marilou). Predeceased by her husband Janko (2011). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Natalie, Grace, Nicholas, Melissa, Nicole, Michelle, Joshua, Jacob, Ashley and three great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Bishop and Umial. Also remembered by family in Canada, Croatia and the United States. We wish to extend a heart-filled thanks to the dedicated staff at Clarion Nursing Home.
Mom persevered through many challenges in life with graceful determination, her religious faith and her unconditional love and dedication to her family. A kind and gentle woman, always a smile on her face, Mom’s parting words to all those she met: May God bless you and keep you healthy.
Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (1919 King St. E. between Rosedale and Cochrane) on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9pm with prayers at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Cross Croatian Church (1883 King St. E.) on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11am. Burial will follow to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If you wish to attend, RSVP in advance is required for both the visitation and funeral at www.dermodys.com or by calling 905-388-4141. Masks and social distancing are mandatory.
