Amos John Volk of Brooks, beloved husband of Rhonda Volk, passed away suddenly at home on May 29th, 2022 at the age of 54 years. Amos was the youngest of 8 children, born to Josephina (Eresman) and Joseph Volk Jr. on November 16th, 1967. He grew up on the family farm northwest of Fox Valley, Saskatchewan. After high school he worked at Lakeside Packers in Brooks, where he met the love of his life, Rhonda Nadeau. On July 11th, 1992 they were married in his home town. After leaving Lakeside, Amos worked his way from roughneck on oil rigs all the way up to owning and operating his own consulting business, AJ Wellsite Supervision. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Volk Jr, brother-in-law Del Poole and mother-in-law Linda (Larson) Nadeau. Amos is survived by his loving wife Rhonda (Nadeau) Volk; daughter Erica and her children Kai and Elijah; son Cameron and his children Karma and Hendrix; mother Josephina Volk; siblings, Sylvia (Roy) Herbach, Linda (Cal) Graham, Andrew (Kendra) Volk, Gloria Poole, Patrick (Maxine) Volk, Cecelia Volk and Wanda Volk; father-in-law Leo Nadeau; sister-in-law, Lorraine (Matt) Morley; brother-in-law Richard Nadeau as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Brooks on Tuesday, June 7th at 1:00 PM. Rev. Marino Infante officiating. A private family interment will be at a later date.
Cremation is entrusted to and conducted at
Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematorium, Brooks
