SHAUGHNESSY, Alvin ‘Al’ Joseph: Peacefully at Joseph’s at Fleming on Sunday, April 3, 2022 in his 99th year. Al, beloved husband of the late Bernadette Turcotte. Loving and devoted father of Don (Margaret), James (Helen), Alayne Besseling (Jules) Stephen, Karen, Janet Tucker (Kevin), and Michael (Carol). Cherished Grampa to Elizabeth Shaughnessy, Philip Shaughnessy, Peter Shaughnessy, Sarah Shaughnessy, Ernmond Wong, Melanie Sugden, David Besseling, Lisa Besseling, Jaime Burke, Andrew Burke, Tarrah Finley, Michael Tucker, Jake Shaughnessy, Michaela Shaughnessy, and Great Grampa to Michael, Kathryn, Rory, Egan, Noa, Wilder, Fabian, David, Julia, Richard, Liam, Joseph, Clare, Emily, Bryce, Amber, Lola, Sofi, Kobie, Nixon Jaxon, Jacob, Maven. Dear brother of Eileen McTeague (Pat, predeceased), Marilyn Sullivan (Paul, predeceased), and predeceased by his sister Doreen O’Keefe (Dom). Remembered lovingly by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Norman Shaughnessy and Helena MacFarlane. Relatives and friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Thursday, April 7th for an Irish Wake from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Alphonsus Church on Friday, April 8th at 11:00 am Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens. In memory of Al, donations to St. Joseph’s at Fleming would be appreciated by the family.
