“In My Father’s House are many mansions. I (Jesus) have gone to prepare a place for you…” – John 14:2. Surrounded by family, Beth passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on September 17, 2022. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband (Harvey) of 64 years, daughters, Debbie (Mark) Elliott, Becky (Roy) Boersma, Faith Park, Hope Park and son, Jason Park. Survived by sisters Jessie (Robert) Simpson, and Florence “Chris” Anderson. Predeceased by her parents Bloss and Jessie Josh, siblings, Patricia, Bloss (Pat) and Thomas (Marilyn) Josh, and son-in-law Doug Daye. Beth’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, Krysta, Kirby and Kaylin Elliott, Cole, Brett and Aleah Boersma, Jesse Breese, Cheyna Park-Daye and Myles Stanley-Park and her great grand-children, Paityn Speck, Lincoln Wright and Kaiden Daye-Moore. She is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews. As an elementary teacher and librarian, Beth devoted many years to guiding students through her love of books, music, technology and the arts in Lambton County, Calgary and London (John Dearness Elementary), and was honoured to receive the Ontario Teacher of the Year Award. Beth was a long-time member of Westview Baptist Church and served as a prayer and bible study leader. She loved to sing, and in years past, her beautiful voice could be heard in church choirs (Sarnia & Calgary) and The Art Christmas Aggregation. Beth loved life, treasured her family, loved to garden, and more than anything, loved God. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 12:00 pm. with visitation being held one hour prior. Interment to follow in Wyoming Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Westview Baptist Church, World Vision or charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
