Allison Dawn Konrad was born in Red Deer, AB on April 30, 1971, demonstrating pure determination and showing signs of her strong will even at birth as at 4lbs 15 oz she wrestled past her much bigger sister to be the first to enter the world. Her family is deeply saddened to say, Allison passed away on July 27, 2022.
She is survived by her mother Inge Konrad, sisters, Stephanie Konrad and Teresa Maier (James), her daughters; Shain Konrad (Messiah) and Jayme Konrad, stepmom Susan Maier as well as her nephew Deegan and nieces; Jade, Raina, and Olivia as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was predeceased by her father Dwayne Alexander Maier and her brother Brant Maier.
Allison was a hard worker, working a wide range of jobs over the years, mostly in an administrative role. She had many interests; loved the outdoors, her animals and had a creative side. She loved keeping a beautiful home and had a flair for keeping things organized and well presented with just the right decor.
Allison was always up for an adventure whether it be off roading in her old Suzuki sidekick, a road trip, vacation or outing with the girls. She enjoyed travelling to new places and was especially proud of her solo trip to Germany where she experienced it’s European wonder, Octoberfest and enjoyed meeting new family members. Allison could make the silence evaporate out of any room she was in and loved to share a good story encouraging a chuckle from all who listened.
Allison achieved her Business Administration Certificate while adjusting to being a new mom. Most importantly, Allison loved being with and was very proud of her girls.
And now, we hope your weighted heart is free and you soar lighter than in life. It is time for rest and peace as we forever carry you in our hearts and memories.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm in Westsyde at the Community Hall at 2400 Oakdale Way, Kamloops, BC. The dresscode is casual as Allison always did love her sweat shirts and jeans.
