Allison “Ali”‘s Obituary
BETHUNE, Allison “Ali” William – age 78, Yarmouth, formerly of Stellarton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 with his family by his side. Born February 19, 1944 in Forest Glen, he was the son of the late Geraldine Allen. Ali worked for Sobeys as a mechanic until his retirement. He was a proud and long serving member of the Stellarton Fire Department as well as the Royal Canadian Legion. He had a love for antique cars and country music. He enjoyed playing darts, camping, and attending a variety of music festivals throughout the province. Ali is survived by his special friend, Margaret Porter. His children Glenn (Kelly) Bethune, Kentville, and Tami (Donald Murray) Hachey, Truro; granddaughter Kailyn Hachey and grandson Braidon Hachey, both of Truro. Margaret’s children, Victor (Sharon), Darlene (Gary), Karen (Joey), Anthony (Darlene) and Billy; grandchildren, Melissa, Stephen, Melanie, Brenten, Renee, Jessica, Lacey, Brandon, Logan and 15 great grandchildren, all of Yarmouth. He is also survived by siblings Melery Rhyno, Cambridge, ON, RoxAnna D’eon, Yarmouth, NS, Carmen Barabash, BC, Gerald Allen, Forest Glenn, NS, Darlene Allen-Durkee, Yarmouth, NS, Benjamin Allen, Forest Glen, NS, Faylene Allen, Wedgeport, NS, Garth Allen, Yarmouth, NS. Aside from his mother he was predeceased by his sister Muriel Saulnier and Aunt Etta Swaine. The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and support staff of the Yarmouth ICU. The care and compassion you gave to Ali and our family was greatly appreciated. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Cremation has already taken place, there will be no visitation or service as per Ali’s wishes; burial to take place at a later date.
